Kristin Fisher has joined the CNN Space and Defense Correspondent team on July 20, 2021. As an official for the Space and Defense Department Kristin Fisher is a reporter covering all aspects of space starting from NASA to the newly formed Space Force as well as commercial space companies and tourism in space. Kristin was raised in the field of space as the daughter and granddaughter of NASA astronauts. In the past five years, she's reported on space policy during the Biden and Trump Administrations for FOX News. Also, she covered the presidential election in 2020 as well as the efforts of two administrations to combat the coronavirus. The extensive trips she took with the Vice President and the President included a trip exclusive to Afghanistan and Afghanistan, which she travelled on along with Donald Trump. Prior to joining the network in, Kristin spent nearly a decade advancing through local TV news markets which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received one Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. With her experience on the set, Kristin created Field Mouse Films in 2014. The company focused on making documentary-style movies for corporate clients including Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin is earned a Bachelor in Science in Journalism which she received from Boston University. She lives with her husband at Washington, D.C., and she has a 3 year old daughter.
